Liberty, Innovation, and Technology (LIT) Policython 2022, a policy-making competition, organized by Students For Liberty

The Liberty, Innovation, and Technology (LIT) Policython 2022 is a policy-making competition organized by Students For Liberty designed to hone university/college students’ policy drafting skills and spark discussions among youth leading to potential liberal policy solutions in the emerging arena of Tech Liberty. The Centre for Civil Society, India is a knowledge partner in the venture.

In the footsteps of our successful 1st edition last year, LIT Policython 2022 will also challenge participants with crucial and engrossing themes. Participants will be expected to come up with creative policy-based solutions for the given problem statements within a specified time on 5-6 February 2022. Preceding the competition, we are hosting a series of pre-events to familiarize all participants with the themes of the Policython.

The top three teams will be receiving cash prizes totalling up to 60,000 INR in addition to the exclusive SFL Tech Liberty merchandise that all shortlisted finalists would be receiving. Further, this year’s edition will be conducted in a hybrid model, where after a virtual preliminary round, up to 8 selected teams would be invited for an in-person final round in Chennai, judged by industry/policy experts, with fully paid accommodation and travel stipends up to 7000 INR per person.

Students (cross-college/uni allowed) can form a team of 2-3 and register for free by Feb 3rd, 2022https://bit.ly/litpolicython2022 or visit  www.StudentsForLiberty.org.

Prelim Round: 5 & 6 Feb 2022 (Online)

Final Round: 26 & 27 Mar, 2022 (In-person)

This is an exciting opportunity for everyone to participate in. We request you to share the details with your university/college groups via WhatsApp and Email Listserves. We hope to see you and your friends participating and being all LIT this year!

Feel free to reach out in case you need any clarifications.
