Indian women losses to New Zealand in the first T-20

Indian women saw the defeat in the first t-20 match of the tour against New Zealand. Smriti Mandhana missed out the first match of the t-20 match.  The New Zealand board twitted that A great start in Queenstown! The team win the one off @kfcnz T20 against India with a strong all round showing. The Kerr sisters and Hayley Jensen each picking up 2 wickets in defending the total. India felt short by 18 runs wile chasing the target of 156 runs in first t-20. The Indian bowlers took wickets at the regular intervals but felt to restrict New Zealand below 150.  After the match Indian Captain said that ‘‘I think we were in the game when we were bowling but the last few overs didn’t go in our favour and didn’t get any partnerships with the bat as well. Lot to learn from this and hopefully we will get better in the next few games. Playing at the same venue (for ODIs) definitely helps us.’’
