Indian Student Shot Dead in Canada, EAM Jaishankar Expresses Condolences

On Thursday, a student of India who is from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was shot dead in Canada, Toronto. At shooting, police find him at the place named, Sherbourne subway station as Kartik Vasudev, who was 21 years old.

He was studying course management. As per reports, Kartik was killed during the robbery was committed. According to the Toronto hospital where he was admitted, he was shot multiple times and later died when treated by the Doctors. 

Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister, tweeted on Saturday to express his grief over the death of Kartik Vasudeva he says, “Grieved by this tragic incident, Deepest Condolences to the family”.

His father, Mr. Jitesh Vasudev said, “we spoke to him last time on Thursday and he told us that was heading to work. He worked part-time at a Mexican restaurant. For a long time, his phone was off and his cousin, with whom he stayed, informed the police.

Then by the news she got to know that he died. The family also got informed by the Indian Embassy in Canada that the process of bringing him back will take another six days.
