On Sunday, in Pakistan, the opposition parties nominated Shehbaz Sharif for Muslim League-Nawaz as their joint candidate for the post of prime minister of Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif is the brother of Nawaz Sharif. The chief of the Pakistan Muslim League, Nawaz tweeted, “Special thanks to media, civil society, lawyers, my Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazal-Ur-Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto, Khalid Magsi, Mosin Dawar, Ali Wazir, Amir Haider Hoti & leaders & workers of all political parties for standing up for the Constitution”.
The procedure of electing the new leader of the House began on Sunday after Mr. Khan was removed from office through a no-confidence vote, also becoming the first premier in the history of the country to be sent after losing the trust of the house.
According to the report media, in the no-trust vote, Mr. Khan made a botched attempt to replace army general Qamar Javed Bajwa to bring someone who is more pliant and sympathetic to his idea of “foreign conspiracy” & cling on to power.
The BBC still did not identify the “uninvited guest” but the choice of the words, tenor, and tone of the said report expresses that they could be Gen. Bajwa and ISI chief Lt. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Anjum.
