Court orders police case against MLA for insulting national flag

A unique MP-MLA court here has guided police to enlist a body of evidence against RLD MLA from Purkazi voting demographic Anil Kumar on charges of offending the public banner on Independence Day last year.

Common adjudicator senior division Mayank Jaiswal on Thursday guided the New Mandi police headquarters to present a report in something like seven days in the wake of enrolling the case.

As indicated by the indictment, the court made the stride in view of an objection documented by legal counselor S K Tyagi.

The grievance relates to Anil Kumar lifting the public banner topsy turvy at a petroleum siphon on Independence Day last year.

The MLA later communicated lament over the episode and named it a misstep. A video of the banner raising was generally shared via virtual entertainment around then.
