Aparna Yadav, a leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party and the younger daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, spoke out on Wednesday in favour of Mulayam’s brother Shivpal Yadav, who is estranged from SP chief and his nephew Akhilesh Yadav.
Shivpal Yadav stated on Twitter, “Why is this struggle for justice unfinished? Why are Azam Khan, Nahid Hasan, Shahzil Islam, and other activists not mentioned?”
“Chacha Ji (Uncle) has made his point and has also put forward his letter and many people agree with the things that he has said,” Aparna Yadav remarked in support of Shivpal Yadav’s comments on Twitter.
Aparna Yadav also attacked SP general secretary Ramgopal Yadav, claiming that under the administration of CM Yogi Adityanath, everyone is subject to the same laws and that no class or religious group is being blackmailed in the state. She also mentioned that choosing a tribal woman as a presidential candidate is in itself an example of no-discrimination policy in BJP’s ideology.
“Ramgopal Ji has said that the backwards n minorities are suppressed, they should see that if a tribal woman has become the president today, which is not seen in other countries, it is a big thing that Droupadi Murmu Ji has become nation’s President, this is a big thing and there is no case of extortion, no injustice is being done.”
