Progressive Education Society established in the year 1934 under the guidance of Late Guruvarya Shankarraoji Kanitkar. The Progressive Education Society’s, Modern Law College, is one of the premier legal educational institute in Maharashtra situated close to the “Oxford of the East”, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Established in 2003, Modern Law College, has carved a niche for itself. The College is permanently affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, recognised by the Bar Council of India, & U/S 2(f) 12 (B) of UGC Act, 1956 and accredited ‘B++’ by NAAC Bengaluru. The College stands as one of the best law colleges in Pune having recognized Research Centre for Ph.D. All the courses of the college are approved by university, which include Degree programs LL.B. Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College, Pune 16 in its endeavor to enhance legal skills and augment knowledge of law, is delighted to announce the 17^th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Level Moot Court Competition 2022-23 to be held on 13^th – 14^th January 2023.

Since its inception in 2003, the College has remained steadfast to its commitment for inculcating the ‘spirit of the law’ in the law students and the society as a whole. Social Service through dynamic education has been a time-honoured credo of Progressive Education Society. We believe that it is essential to provide a platform where students from different Law Colleges can match their mooting skills against each other.
