India’s top 10 private employers listsees TCS come out on top: Report

With 5,92,195 employees, Tata Consultancy Services ranked first among the top 10 private employers in
the nation according to the “2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500” survey. Quess Corp, a provider of
business services, was ranked second.
The “2022 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500” report was published on December 1 by Hurun India and
Burgundy Private, the private banking division of Axis Bank.
The 500 most valuable businesses in India are ranked in this, the list’s second iteration. 30 October 2022
served as the deadline for compiling this list.
Reliance Industries (3,40,000 jobs), Infosys (3,14,015 employees), and Larsen & Toubro are a few of the
other companies that made the list of the ten top private employers (2,52,217 jobs).
These companies have been listed in order of their value as determined by valuations for unlisted
companies.
Hurun India’s Managing Director and Chief Researcher, Anas Rahman Junaid, stated: “With a total value
of US$2.7tn, which is equal to India’s current GDP, they make up the backbone of India’s economy.
Together, these 500 companies had combined sales of US$820bn and employed 7.3 million staff, which
is more than the working population of the United Arab Emirates
