The Delhi High Court grants Adobe 2 crore indamages and prohibits cyber squatters fromviolating its trademark.

The Delhi High Court recently handed down an important ruling in the case of Adobe Inc. v. Namase
Patel, ordering a obstinate cyber squatter to pay Adobe Inc. Rupees 2 crore in damages for violating the
company’s trademarks for Photoshop and Adobe Spark.
In his ruling dated November 29, single-judge Justice C Hari Shankar stated that the defendant had been
violating the trademarks of several foreign businesses and that the National Arbitration Forum and the
WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center had issued various orders against the defendant.
The defendant’s access to his two domain names must also be banned, the court decided.
