Delhi High Court permits a pregnant lady in her thirdtrimester to end her pregnancy.

On Tuesday, the Delhi High Court authorised a lady who was 33 weeks pregnant to have a medical
abortion. GNCTD & Anr. v. Mrs. Pooja Kumari.
According to Indian law, a mother’s decision to carry her child to term must be respected, according to
Justice Singh.
According to Justice Singh, she was able to tell from the petitioner’s dialogue that she was conscious of
the dangers and the psychological suffering associated with either childbirth or child abortion.
