The Supreme Court upholds thecancer-stricken wife’s transfer pleawhile rejecting the husband’s assertionthat she is on vacation.

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that when it comes to applications for the transfer of matrimonial
proceedings, the convenience of the wife comes first.
Consequently, a transfer petition submitted by a wife on the basis she was suffering from cancer was
approved by a bench of Justices MR Shah and Hima Kohli.
The husband’s assertion that the wife’s claim cannot be trusted because there are photos of her
travelling, taking vacations, and scuba diving was dismissed by the court.
