World Bank predicts 6.9% growth for India this fiscal year

The World Bank predicted that India’s economy will expand by 6.9% in the current fiscal
year in a report released on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The research cited tighter monetary
policy and high commodity prices as factors affecting the country’s growth.
The World Bank projects that the current fiscal year’s inflation will be 7.1%.
Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageswaran recently made about the same projections.
Mr. Anantha Nageswaran had stated on November 30 that “the Indian economy is on pace to
attain a 6.8-7% GDP growth in the current fiscal.”
