Mehidy tonne pushes Bangladesh to 271-7 against India in the second one-day international

On his approach to his first century, the small Mehidy Hasan Miraz tortured the Indian bowlers once more as Bangladesh made an incredible comeback to reach 271 for seven in the second ODI in Mirpur on December 7.

Before the match’s hero, Miraz (100 off 83 balls) and Mahmudullah (77 off 96) sewed an incredible 148-run combination off 165 balls to enable the home team put up a battling total, India had Bangladesh on the ropes at 69 for six. The seventh-wicket stand against India was the greatest it had ever been.

When Shardul Thakur bowled the 50th over, Miraz reserved his best shots for it and smacked him for a few sixes, including a perfectly timed pick-up shot, before hitting the three-figure milestone with the penultimate pitch of the innings.
