The project to backfill abandoned mines by MB Power started in 2017. It has been successful in achieving this target for the preceding five years and is committed to using 100% fly ash.
Low-lying lands have been backfilled with permission in the villages of Laharpur, Guwari, Chhulha, Jaithari, Jamudi, Paraswar, Rajendragram, Dhangawan, Bakahi, Sakra, and so on. In addition to creating area for human use, fly ash reclamation also lowers the risk of human and livestock mishaps, the report stated.
