The first ICE THEATERS buildings in Delhi and Gurugram debuted on Friday. Two more are expected to open in Mumbai and Bengaluru by the end of February. The Ajay Bijli-owned company has partnered with French exhibitor CGR Cinemas to introduce its upscale ICE THEATERS model to India.
In the ICE THEATER format, side panels work in tandem with the main screen to provide a peripheral vision that enhances immersion by contrasting colours and motion in the backdrop.
Films including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Batman, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Top Gun: Maverick, and Morbius have screened in this upscale setting internationally in ICE THEATER theatres.
