Twitter has begun restoring accounts that were shut down for breaking platform policies. Over the following 30 days, the social networking platform intends to reinstate more accounts.
Twitter stated in a string of tweets on Friday that it has found various policies where the permanent suspension of an individual was a “disproportionate” response to a rule violation.
The social media platform earlier this week suspended the accounts of numerous well-known journalists who were covering Musk, including those from the Washington Post, CNN, and the New York Times. Musk claimed they were harming his family.
