Beginning on January 1, Aloke Singh will be in charge of Air India’s low-cost airline division

According to an internal communication, Aloke Singh, the CEO of Air India Express, would be in charge of Air India’s low-cost airline division as of January 1st, 2023.AirAsia India and Air India Express will be the Low Cost Carrier (LCC) division’s carriers.

According to the internal communication, Sunil Bhaskaran, the current CEO of AirAsia India, will take over as the head of a brand-new initiative—an aviation training academy.

Tata Group has been attempting to consolidate its airline business since since it acquired loss-making Air India in January of this year. With the merger, the Air India group will have a single low-cost carrier. The company will be known as Air India Express after the merger, it had stated.
