U.S. and Indian defence chiefs spoke about the problem of global security as tensions along the India-China border have grown

The defence chiefs of the United States and India have exchanged opinions on the regional and global security environment and spoken about measures to strengthen bilateral collaboration and interoperability in an effort to strengthen military ties between the two nations.

The call between Chief of the Indian Defence Force Gen. Anil Chauhan and U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Miley took place amid rising border tensions between India and China.

In light of China’s expanding military manoeuvres in the resource-rich and strategically significant Indo-Pacific area, the United States, India, and several other world powers have been discussing the necessity to ensure a free, open, and prospering region.
