As lawlessness persists in the wake of Mahsa Amini’s demise, Iranian police have reportedly started reminding women to retain wearing their required headscarves even in cars, according to media reports on Monday.
Iran has been shaken by protests ever after Iranian-Kurdish Amini, 22, died on September 16 after being detained in Tehran for allegedly violating the country’s rigid dress code for women.
Following the rallies, many women were seen without a headscarf without being halted in both more affluent areas of Tehran’s capital city and in more conservative and modest southern suburbs.
