Debutant Shivam Mavi is the highlight of India’s two-run victory over Sri Lanka in their first T20 match

With his persistent fast bowling performance in the first T20I on Tuesday, Shivam Mavi had a fantastic start, helping India defeat Sri Lanka by a slim margin of two runs. 

The Sri Lankan spinners were difficult for the Indian batters to dismiss before Deepak Hooda (41 not out off 23) and Axar Patel (31 not out off 20) helped the hosts reach 162 for five. 

At this stadium, India has never secured a lower total.
