The Delhi Consumer Court declines to order Fair & Handsome cream’s promises of fairness to be verified through laboratory testing.

A request for laboratory testing of Emami’s Fair and Handsome cream to verify the product’s claims of improving skin fairness was denied by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in Central Delhi [Nikhil Jain v. Emami Ltd.].

Despite using the cream in accordance with the specified instructions, the complainant claimed that he had not achieved fairness in the three weeks as claimed by the product.

On January 28, the matter will now be heard on its merits. For the complainant, advocate Paras Jain made his appearance. Dhanakshi Gandhi and Aarav Pandit, lawyers, appeared on behalf of Emami Limited.
