Making every attempt to shorten the duration of the visa interview appointments in India: U.S.

According to a State Department official, the US is doing everything it can to minimize the wait times for visa interview appointments in India as quickly as possible.

Ned Price, a spokesperson for the State Department, told the media at his daily press conference that “visa processing is rebounding quicker than predicted and over the following year, we expect to reach pre-pandemic processing levels.”

He added that the fiscal year 2022 saw the U.S. issue more student visas than at any time since 2016, with its embassy and consulates in India breaking their previous record for the number of student visas issued in a single fiscal year.
