Unabated withdrawals of foreign funds have a negative impact on investor confidence.

The 30-share BSE Sensex lost 147.47 points, or 0.25%, to close at 59,958.03 on the day. It dropped 473.18 points, or 0.78%, to 59,632.32 over the day. The NSE Nifty index as a whole decreased 37.50 points, or 0.21%, to settle at 17,858.20.
