On Thursday, the Gujarat High Court noted that a daughter’s marriage has no impact on her standing within the family.
Therefore, a division bench consisting of Chief Justice Aravind Kumar and Justice Ashutosh J. Shastri stated that it is time to shift people’s perceptions that once a family’s daughter marries, she should not be awarded any property.
The bench made the comment as it was considering a man’s bid to add his sister as a respondent to his case.
