In order to combat Russian aggression, the United States has announced another military aid package for Ukraine at $2.5 billion, bringing the total amount of U.S. military aid to $27.5 billion.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Thursday that “this assistance package will provide Ukraine with hundreds of additional armoured vehicles, including Stryker armoured personnel carriers, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled vehicles.”
According to him, the package also includes very important extra air defence support for Ukraine, including more Avenger air defence systems, surface-to-air missiles, and additional previously supplied American ammunition for NASAMS.
