Due to the theft of numerous vials, Bharat Biotech recalls a batch of their rabies vaccine.

A particular batch of the rabies vaccine ChiroRab from Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech is being voluntarily recalled as a result of theft of many of its vials, the company announced on January 23.
The company noted that even though only a portion of the package was taken and the cold chain storage conditions for that portion are unknown, the process to recall the full batch has already begun.
In order to protect patient safety and the general public’s interest, it was emphasised that this voluntary action was being made in accordance with the principle of abundant precaution.
