The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Prakash Ambedkar’s Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) officially announced their alliance ahead of the civic elections on January 23, creating a new political dynamic in Maharashtra.
The collaboration has been anticipated for some time. In an effort to preserve democracy, we have banded together with the motto “country first,” Mr. Thackeray stated. “We have come together on the occasion of Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary to affect the politics of change in the State,” stated Prakash Ambedkar, Babasaheb Ambedkar’s grandson.
Mr. Ambedkar expressed his hope that the Congress and NCP, Mr. Thackeray’s allies in the MVA, will join the coalition, which is currently solely comprised of the Sena (UBT) and the VBA. According to reports, Congress and NCP were against including the VBA in the MVA coalition.
