Manu Kumar Jain, global vice president and the previous head of Xiaomi’s Indian division, announced his retirement on Monday after serving the firm for around nine years.
The development takes place in the middle of the current legal dispute between Xiaomi and the Enforcement Directorate about suspected violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) by the firm.
The 2014 launch of Xiaomi in India was led by Jain.
