According to the Economic Survey 2022–23, innovative policies like PM GatiShakti, the National Logistics Policy, and production-linked incentive programmes would support India’s economic growth. Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, presented the Economic Survey 2022–23 to the House of Representatives on January 31.
The analysis found that while ports and airports have seen significant improvements, roads, trains, and waterways have experienced remarkable growth over the past eight years.
It was noted that, compared to the global benchmark of 8%, logistics expenses in India have been in the range of 14–18% of GDP.
