Boeing Co. informed the Seattle Times newspaper on Monday that it anticipates eliminating around 2,000 white-collar employees in finance and human resources this year through a combination of layoffs and attrition.
The Virginia-based corporation revealed this month that it would eliminate certain support roles while adding 10,000 new employees by 2023.
Boeing said at the time that it will “reduce headcount within various support departments” in order to better allocate resources to support existing products and technological advancement.
