Prime Minister Modi lavishly honours Yakshagana performer Baliga Narayana Bhagawatha.

Balipa Narayana Bhagawatha, a well-known playback singer and screenwriter for the Yakshagana film series, received praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. He said that he made a significant contribution to culture and that future generations will value his work.
On Thursday, Bhagawatha passed away at his home close to Moodbidri in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. He was 84. Shri Balipa Narayana Bhagawatha “made a mark in the field of culture,” tweeted Modi. He lived for Yakshagana playback singing, and everyone admired him for his exceptional performance.
Future generations will value his creations. afflicted by his death. My sympathies go out to his family. Om Shanti.” Bhagawatha, who had a sizable fan base, had a distinctive singing technique that his admirers dubbed the “Balipa style.” He penned around 30 Yakshagana “parasangs,” with a beautiful voice.
