Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, is resigning from the board of OpenAI.

As his venture capital firm increasingly invests in other artificial intelligence firms, including those building on top of OpenAI’s products, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman is leaving the board of ChatGPT creator OpenAI.
Hoffman published a message on LinkedIn. Hoffman is on the boards of both Greylock Partners and Microsoft Corporation, which purchased LinkedIn in 2016 and funds OpenAI.
Hoffman claimed that although the board of the AI research business and the company’s management have always kept an eye out for potential conflicts of interest, his decision to resign now will allow him to put such concerns to rest. A greater number of the businesses that Greylock is investing in employ OpenAI’s application programming interfaces to create their own goods.
