South Bihar electricity distribution co awards a contract worth Rs. 565 crore to Bajaj electricals.


South Bihar Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. Has awarded Bajaj Electricals’ EPC division a contract worth 564.87 crore rupees, the company announced on Saturday (SBPDCL).
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the contract is for the delivery of products and services by South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (SBPDCL), a domestic entity, under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The expansion of the distribution infrastructure for the Bihar electric supply circles Sasaram and Munger comprises the delivery of plant and installation services, it was said.
The largest corporate entity in the nation, the Bajaj Group, includes Bajaj Electricals. In FY22, it generated a revenue of 4,813 crore.
In the three months that concluded in December 2022, Bajaj Electricals Ltd. Recorded an increase in its consolidated net profit of 26.88% to 61.12 crore. This compares to a net profit of 48.17 crore in the comparable period of the previous fiscal year.
