India is experiencing a rise in COVID-19 instances once more. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 1,805 new coronavirus infections on Monday. Moreover, the active count has now raised everyone’s alarm after surpassing 10,000 after 134 days.
The weekly positivity rate is 1.39 percent, whereas the daily positivity rate is 3.19 percent. The statistics updated at 8 am showed an increase in active cases to 10,300. The health ministry said that there were 9,433 active cases as of Sunday.
With six deaths—one each reported in a 24-hour period by Chandigarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh—and two deaths reconciled by Kerala—the death toll has risen to 5,30,837.
The data showed that there were 4.47 crore (4,47,05,952) Covid cases overall. The website of the health ministry states that the percentage of infections that are still active is currently 0.02 percent, and that the national Covid recovery rate is 98.79 percent.
The statistics showed that there were 4,41,64,815 patients who had recovered from the illness. 1.19 percent is the case fatality rate, according to statistics. The website of the ministry reports that the state-wide Covid immunisation campaign has so far administered 220.65 crore doses of the vaccine.
