About Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law, PES University was established in the year 2017, under the able guidance of our Hon’ble Founder and Chancellor, Dr. M.R Doreswamy, with a vision of establishing a global law school. The institution has been ranked No.2 amongst the newly emerging universities in the State by Karnataka State Universities Rating Framework in the year 2019.
It offers a five-year integrated BBA LL.B (Hons.) and BA LLB (Hons.) program spread over ten semesters. The program has been innovatively designed to cater to the growing challenges and complexities of the dynamic legal and business environment.
About the Competition
Avinya 2023 is the first ever inter-state hybrid mode legal startup competition being organised by the Centre for Corporate Law, Faculty of Law, PES University, Bangalore. The competition aims to bring out the entrepreneurial skills of the students by giving them a platform to propose a start-up business that fosters legal innovation.
The flagship event will witness the presence of many eminent personalities (from the corporate field ranging from Angel Investors to Successful Entrepreneurs). The competition will be conducted in a hybrid mode (online and offline). The event distinguishes itself to be the first-ever competition which gives a platform for students of all fields to resolve real-life problems of students of law as well as professionals of the legal field.
Eligibility
This competition is open to all undergraduate students, who are currently studying at a recognised college/department/university. Participation is not restricted to one team per university.

Hybrid mode
Rounds 1 and 2 will be conducted virtually
Round 3 will be hosted at PES University, RR campus, Bengaluru.
Registration Details
Each team shall register using the registration link provided below. The Registration Form must be filled out completely. Incomplete information will lead to the rejection of the application.

Fee Details
Registration fee – Rs. 500 per team
Cash Prize Details
• Winners – Prize Money and Certificate
• Best Idea – Prize Money and Certificate
• Best Pitch – Prize Money and Certificate
• Best Speaker- Prize Money and Certificate
E-certificate of participation shall be provided to all participants. The winners will also receive special incentives from the collaborators and other investors who are associating with the event.
Important Dates
▪ 15th April 2023 – Last date for Final Registration
▪ 23rd April 2023 – Inauguration and Round 1
▪ 29th April 2023 – Round 2
▪ 2nd May 2023 – Round 3 and Valedictory
